Welcome to the 10th Annual North Shore Style Climbing Competition- “The Return of the Yeti!”

It’s a big year as the Yeti storms back in to Duluth for one of the most exciting competitions in the north!  After a hiatus (the Yeti needed to hibernate), the Duluth Climbers Coalition is excited to be putting this competition on again in support of Duluth climbing.  This is a chance to climb all day on brand-new routes, win gear, support your local climbing community, and meet psyched climbers from all over the Midwest!

Saturday, December 3rd, 2016

Check-In begins at 10 am.  Competition rules and announcements will be at 10:30 am, with climbing beginning immediately after around 11.  Finals will begin at 3 pm.

Vertical Endeavors, 329 South Lake Avenue, Duluth, MN 55805

Register before December 1st for $30!  On December 1st the price goes to $35.

100 Competitors Max!

In years past we have determined the optimal number of competitors is 100.  We will only allow 100 competitors so please register early and get your spot! There are no exceptions, no matter how far you drive!

Male & Female categories for Beginner (5.7 and under), Intermediate (5.8-5.10b), Advanced (5.10c-5.11d), and a Youth division (12 and Under).  There will be a single Open category (5.12a and above) available as well for all competitors.  Competition organizers reserve the right to bump a competitor up or down from the category originally signed up for based on performance.

Top 3 in each category will receive prizes! We also reserve the right to bump competitors into the next category of competition if need be, so please be honest when you register.

Why should you compete?

You get to climb all day on brand-new routes; you get to meet up with and hang out with climbers from all over the midwest region, you get a competition T-shirt in your size (if you signed up for a size at registration); you get various SWAG for door prizes!
